Top 9 Reasons Atari Is Better Than Your Kid's Game System

Dear Awesome People,

My week is REALLY crazy right now. I just wanted to drop in and let you know that I have a post over at NickMom called Top 9 Reasons Atari Should Be The Only Game System Again. I'd want to be your BFF if you checked it out. I'd at least want to buy you a Cinnabon.

Please tell me you remember Atari. My favorite game was Ms. Pac-Man and, actually, it still is... Every time I seen an arcade, I frantically look around for my homegirl, Ms. PM, and then beg someone for quarters. If I am not able to find any, I shine shoes for some change. That's how much she means to me. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'd knock people down to get to her.

I even wrote a post about my good friend, Yellow Sphere (my name for her), back in June 2010 called Ms. Pac-Man & Me.

Well, I better be going. My 4-year-old son peed on the windowsill last night while he was sleepwalking, so I need to clean that up.

Thanks for stopping by!

Your friend,
Kelley

P.S. What was your favorite Atari game??

We had Intellivision. I always pined for Atari and the wonderful technology that was Pong.

My favorite game was Air-Sea Battle, because I could always win.
There was also another game called Outlaw, where two "Outlaw" villains shot at each other.
The person with the least amount of deaths wins the game. Oh it was such a nice family game...my grandmother thought it was too graphic for me back then!
Now the poor old lady nearly keels over when my teenage son tells her of the games he plays now, killing prostitutes, running drugs for a cartel...he's nearly 17 so I don't shield him much from the game world anymore.
But seriously, is it any wonder where the mind of our youth is at?? lol

I almost forgot to add the fun of Frogger...and before that I actually had a Tel-Star! ;)
I inherited it from my grandma and would sit for hours playing Pong in my room. :)

I had an Intellivision, too, and Pitfall was the best game ever made! I always loved Pole Position at the arcade because who didn't love to use the shifter thing. Ha!

At the risk of sounding like the only living person after a zombie takeover, I've never played an Atari game.

Pac Man was my favorite because our local store had one and my brother and I would play for hours. When it came out for the Atari, we spent hours playing it at home.
And remember Atari? I remember playing Pong!

Truth? I haven't played a video game since Atari. And what about Pong? Pong was the BEST.

Centipede! Remember the twisty knob controller that was never used? Yeah that. Ellen

Loved Pac Man, Ms Pac Man and of course Frogger. Still love the song Pac Man Fever? Although you don't hear it much these days. That's another crying shame.

Comments make me feel like I'm not talking to the wall. Don't get me wrong. I love talking to walls. Some of my best friends are walls. Still, I like hearing from you, so thanks!
