I need to know. I need to know. Tell me, baby girl, 'cuz I need to know! (Sorry...that title got me started on a little Marc Anthony tangent.)
Peeps (that's a little Easter joke), I have a post up at NickMom right now that I would love for you to check out. It's a decision tree titled, "Where Should We Hide These Easter Eggs to Make Our Kids Smarter?" If you don't read it for you, read it for your child's IQ.
Before you rush off to NickMom, could you just tell me really quickly what YOU call these little bugs? In my family of four, I think we all call them a different name. The purpose of these question is two-fold: 1) I'm curious, 2) I like to know pointless facts, 3) I want to try out Kludgy Mom's advice from her post "How To Make Pinterest Friendly Images" and 4) I can't count.
So, what do YOU call these little dudes?
You may even call him something else. You may even call him friend. Or Al. (Thanks for sharing such personal information with me, by the way.)
(Oh, and thanks for giving the NickMom link HERE a quick click, peeps. <--another lame Easter joke that was exactly like the one I already told you.)

They shall forever be known as Rolly Pollies to me ...did I get the plural form right? I was too lazy to Google it...
Potato Bugs!
Roly Poly! If they don't have a cute name they become kinda creepy. Like a walking, tiny, blackened, bologna.
We call 'em potato bugs here. I also call them EWWW!
roly poly, doodle bug, and pill bug are all terms i've used. and i once had one called sam.
Roly Poly. From their Latin name rollicus pollinati. Google it...
Roly poly here in KS!
In Cali they were Roly Poly bugs!
I call mine Stan.
I remember having a pet or two or three of these little guys that like to hangout in basement window sills. I call them Roly Poly. They are so not scarey.
roly poly
Roly Poly. My 5 year old daughter has an actual Roly Poly playground for them that I bought for her at her brother's science store. They are one of the 2 bugs she isn't afraid of (ladybugs). She's deathly afraid of Skeeter Eaters though. Now THAT'S a post I want to see in the Break Room. A Skeeter Eater post.
Roly Poly here in southeast Missouri. My childhood next-door neighbor used to call them Sow Bugs. Or maybe she was saying Sal Bugs. Her name was Sally.
Roly Poly. My MIL swears a doodle bug is something completely different. Then again.... this is the MIL we are talking about here.
Roly poly or waterbug.
My kids call them roly polys, but I always called them sowbugs. Or was it salbugs. sheesh...
Roly Poly! And they are the only big I will voluntarily touch. We used to play with them all the time growing up. Haven't seen one in years!
Doodle and pill here~
Where Should You Hide These Easter Eggs to Make Our Kids Smarter?
Try the library :)
Rolly Pollies
Interesting fact...they hold their babies on their bellies! When Bugster was about 5, she found one and told me it had a bunch of babies on its belly. I was busy with something at the time, so I sort of blew her off. She said it again, and I didn't believe her. She tipped the mama over, and sure enough, there were hundreds of baby rolly pollies on her belly!
Just knew you needed to know that. :)
Potato bug!!!
Why?
No clue.
I've always known them as "potato bugs" but former Vice President Dan Quayle always fought me on the spelling of that name...
I don't know wth they are! I don't know if I've ever seen one.
I'm pretty certain that's impossible.
if I did see one I'd scream.
So screamer-bug.
I hate bugs.
Well those are roly polys of course!
The gross bug? Ewww!
We called them both 'Pill Bug' and 'Roly Poly'. I never heard of them as tickle bugs but then again any bug crawling on me no matter how passive gives me the creeps!!! Have a great Easter! W.C.C.
Shall I tell you what they're called?
Bugs From HELL )))))) !!!!
Happy Easter, Kelley Xxx
i am happy to say that is not a bug i know. but if i did, i like rolly polly.
ew did you just say pill bugs? lol
I just had a pill and now looking at

Happy Easter :)
and I don't remember what I called them
when I was little, don't see them that
often anymore *knocks on wood*
Pill and Roly Poly....definitely
It's a Roly Poly! Hope you had a great Easter!
Roly Poly - and unfortunately they fall into the scientific classification of Nasty Bugs My Kids Think Are Fun To Play With. Guh-rohse. And these super up-close photos of them aren't making them seem any more cuddy.

Comments make me feel like I'm not talking to the wall. Don't get me wrong. I love talking to walls. Some of my best friends are walls. Still, I like hearing from you, so thanks!
